[Lights up on a girl and a boy, sitting side by side. The girl, without looking at the boy asks:]

GIRL:
Can I ask you a question that I think is kinda silly?

BOY: [Not looking at her either.]
Go ahead.

GIRL: [In all seriousness.]
....Do you love me?

BOY: [Clearly jesting.]
..Eh.. Sometimes.

[He nudges the girl in a "Hey, we're just joking around" manner. She looks at him sadly.]

GIRL:
I hate you.

BOY:
What'd I do?

GIRL:
Nothing.

BOY:
..Whaa..?

[The girl gets up and walks away leaving the boy sitting alone, looking confused. Lights fade.]
