[Lights up on the bedroom of a little girl. She kneels by her bed in pink footie pajamas. She looks up at a tapestry hanging on her wall, as though reading it. The tapestry is of the "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep." Prayer. (She's to young to read anything real.) Her mother stands to the side recording her, with a smile on her face.]
LITTLE GIRL:
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray dear Lord my to keep, if I shall die before I wake, I pray dear Lord my soul to take. Dear Lord, please bless Mommy, and Daddy, and doggie, and the kitty. (Pause of deep thought.)....(Shouting) AMEN!
[The little girl climbs into bed and the mother puts the recorder away, chuckling. Lights fade on the mother tucking the little girl into bed.]
